(a) whether or not the Minister will review the cost effectiveness of the Department’s marketing strategies in order to ensure the 2007–2008 plan is better targeted;
(b) in the interests of the Government’s ‘Building on the Boom’ strategy, will the Minister table this review in Parliament and outline the
upgraded approach to marketing the parks; and
(i) if not, why not;
(c) when was the Government’s Technology Precinct Plan developed and initiated; and
(d) is this the same plan initiated by the Court Government?

(a) The marketing strategy is reviewed on a 12 month basis with the transition from Technology Park into the wider Technology Precinct. The strategy will be altered based upon existing market conditions.  It will be regularly reviewed for efficiency and effectiveness.
(b) The marketing strategy forms part of the precinct's operational plan and this is reflected in the Department of Industry and Resources' Annual Report and State Budget.
(i) Not applicable
(c - d) In 1991 the concept was first developed and initiated under the then Labor government and successive governments have developed it to its current refined stage.
