I refer to the electricity supply to Government housing at 17 Harford Way, Girrawheen, and I ask: (a) has Western Power or Synergy received complaints about the metering and charging of power to this address; (b) if yes to (a), what complaints have been received and what action has been taken on them; (c) why does the power supply to this address still have the builder's meter box as well as a separate meter box for each of the five units; (d) in reference to (c), why was the builder's meter box not removed when construction was complete; (e) what has Synergy done to ensure the five units are receiving accurate bills for electricity use; (f) has the State Ombudsman's office been approached to address this issue and what has been the outcome of any such approach; (g) which regulator has checked to ensure that the electricity coming into the five units at 17 Harford Way, Girrawheen is measured accurately for each separate unit; and (h) in reference to (g), what have they done to ensure that outcome?

(a-b) Western Power has not received any complaints.
Synergy has received complaints; however Synergy is committed to maintaining customer privacy and is unable to provide specific details relating to individual accounts.
(c-d) The box being referred to is known as a Site Main Switchboard which is required for all strata subdivisions as of February 2020.
(e-f) Synergy requested Western Power undertake a Meter Test for Unit 3 on 22 April 2024. Synergy is currently investigating an Ombudsman complaint relating to metering for Unit 3.
(g-h) Each unit is metered separately and individual billing concerns can be raised with Synergy.
