In view of the Government’s decision not to extend the $250m contract with Matrix, which still has another nine years to run, I ask - (1) Has Treasury conducted an analysis on the cost of remaining in the contract for another nine years versus the benefit of getting out of the contract immediately? (2) If yes, what did the analysis show? (3) Has the cost of getting out of the contract immediately been calculated, including all penalties? (4) If yes, what is the cost to the Western Australian taxpayers? (5) If not, why has the cost not been calculated? Hon N.F. MOORE
