I refer to the lower South West National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) My Way trial, and I ask: (a) what is the complaints handling process for people dissatisfied with any aspect of the lower South West NDIS My Way trial; and (b) may a person deemed ineligible for funding support lodge a complaint and have their application reviewed and, if yes, what is the process?

a) The Commission's existing Consumer Complaints Policy applies to all Commission services, including those in the WA NDIS My Way trial site in the Lower South West.
b) A person deemed ineligible for funding can seek a review of the decision. Consistent with the broader NDIS approach, reviews have three tiers: initial review by the original decision maker, then escalations (if required) to senior managers not involved in the original decision.
There is also an Appeal process, should the individual not be satisfied with the review of the decision. This is consistent with the broader NDIS approach.
