The Fire and Emergency Services Authority (FESA) advises that:
As part of the 2009/10 Budget Process FESA has submitted its 10 Year Capital Works Investment Plan. However, as the plan is reviewed and adjusted on an annual basis due to a range of influencing factors, including significant risk and demographic changes, it is not appropriate to include the details outside the approved forward estimates period.
The table below lists FESA's proposed fire station locations over the next three years.
Proposed Fire Station Location
Proposed Year of Building
Albany Volunteer Fire & Rescue
Ellenbrook Career Fire & Rescue
Derby Collocation
Esperance Collocation
Kununurra Emergency Services Centre
2009-10
Bassendean Career Fire & Rescue
2010-11
Australind Career Fire & Rescue
Kambalda Volunteer Fire & Rescue
2011-12
Replacement SES facilities do not form part of the Capital Works Investment Plan as they are funded from the Emergency Services Levy Grants program which is subject to annual grant applications from Local Government and a competitive assessment process.
New SES buildings approved in the 2008-09 Grants program include SES Murray and SES Pingelly.
