LOTTERYWEST — REDUCTION IN GRANTS EXPENDITURE
I refer to the government’s decision stated in budget paper No 3 of the 2009-10 Budget Statements to reduce payments of grants across government by $200 million over four years, commencing with a $65 million reduction in the 2009-10 financial year. (1) Has the minister with responsibility for Lotterywest advised it of the decision to reduce grants? (2) Given the potential increase in demand for Lotterywest grants as a consequence of the decision, was Lotterywest consulted in the framing of this element of the budget? (3) Will Lotterywest be consulted about the implementation of the reduction in grants expenditure? Hon NORMAN MOORE
