CULTURAL MATERIAL COMMITTEE — MOURAMBINE KARIYARRA SITES
1176. Hon ROBIN CHAPPLE to the
Minister for Aboriginal Affairs:
I refer to a letter dated 5 February 2013 received from the
minister regarding the assessment of Mourambine Kariyarra sites 1 to 14, which
stated that the information had been received and would be presented to the
Aboriginal Cultural Material Committee for assessment on 13 March 2013.
(1) Were the
Mourambine Kariyarra sites 1 to 14 assessed at the ACMC meeting held on 13 March
2013, as the minister promised in his correspondence with me?
(2) Why do
these sites not appear on the agenda or the minutes of the ACMC meeting held on
13 March 2013, which was provided to me in this chamber by the minister?
(3) Why did it
not appear in ACMC advertisements that these sites would be assessed at the
ACMC meeting held on 13 March 2013?
(4) If no to (1), why not?
(5) If no to (1), will these sites be
assessed at the next ACMC meeting?
