(a) There were two drilling programs about 11 years apart, each carried out by different mineral exploration companies.
The first drilling program was carried out between 24 October and 28 October 1981.
The second drilling program was carried out on 21 July 1992.
(b) DoIR has no information on the position of the sacred site delineated by Peter Bindon at Noonkanbah, and can only provide details of the locations of the two drilling programs as reported in the two mineral exploration reports.
The first drilling program involved 10 holes being drilled in three separate areas:
i) eight holes were drilled in an area around Luby's Bore
ii) one hole was drilled in an area located at about 4.5 km north-northwest of Mamilu Hill;
iii) one hole was drilled in an area located at about 7.5 km north-northwest of Mamilu Hil.
The second drilling program involved three holes were holes were drilled in an area located about 3 km east-northeast of White Rocks.
