HEALTH — CHILD HEALTH NURSES — FUNDING
1269. Hon DONNA FARAGHER to the Leader of the House
representing the Minister for Health:
I refer to the answer provided to
question without notice 1197 asked on 22 November 2022 regarding a service
agreement with the Salvation Army for the provision of community child health
services and the reference to the agreement expiring on 30 June 2023.
(1) Will the service agreement be
extended or renewed following 30 June 2023; and, if not, why not?
(2) If yes, when will the new
contract expire?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1) No. The Child
and Adolescent Health Service currently delivers community child health
services within the metropolitan region as part of its core business.
Currently, a component of this is outsourced to the Salvation Army. However, CAHS will bring these services back in-house to
be delivered by CAHS, which will ensure the services are integrated with
CAHS existing clinical governance structures, services and programs to support
continuity of care for clients.
(2) Not applicable.
