(1) It is an overall plan that reflects when the railway as a whole and specific railway lines need to increase capacity based on demand projections consistent with State land use and population forecasts; the Public Transport Authority's Route and Infrastructure Utilisation Strategy (RUS) then matches that capacity requirement to the necessary investments in rolling stock, track and other infrastructure and systems.
(2) Given that RUS is an ongoing and evolving strategy encompassed in many documents there is no completion date or publication date.
