The Minister for the Environment and Heritage has advised that a water allocation for a horticultural precinct in the mid west region will be dependent upon an application to the Water and Rivers Commission supporting a clear proposal and the availability of water. There may be sufficient source, depending on the size of the request, from Allanooka and the adjacent Casuarina area. However, further hydrogeological investigation and water allocation planning is required before this can be confirmed.
