I thank the member for some notice of the question.
(1)–(2)
An internal audit of the corporate credit card transactions of the Chairman of
the Western Australian Planning Commission has been conducted and Mr Prattley
is currently responding to the concerns put to him by the minister on some of
the transactions. In view of this current situation, it would be inappropriate
to comment on this matter at this time. However, this should not be taken as
providing comment, either positively or negatively, on the aforementioned
transactions. It is appropriate to point out that the corporate credit card
held by the chairman is not a personal credit card but a method of purchasing
and paying for a whole range of transactions which, for operational and
accountability reasons, are in the name of the chairman.
