the minister representing the Minister for Police:
I note that the
recent upsurge in car thefts in Kununurra are frustrating and terrorising locals
in that small town.
(1) How many cars have been stolen in Kununurra
since 1 October 2025?
(2) Of each car stolen:
(a) how many have been recovered in their original
condition;
(b) how many offenders have been caught by police;
(c) how many of those offenders are repeat
offenders;
(d) how many are juveniles;
(e) how many are in government care; and
(f) how many of those offenders are now in custody?
