I thank the member

(1) A $19.8 million contract for construction
of the pedestrian bridge at Elizabeth Quay will be awarded to a joint venture
between Decmil Group Ltd, Structural Systems and Hawkins Civil—DASSH—which
will be responsible for appointing a steel supplier and fabricator.
(2) A steel supplier
has yet to be appointed.
(3) DASSH has advised the Metropolitan
Redevelopment Authority that its intention is to use steel fabricated in
Australia.
