I refer to the recent decision by the WA Labor government to
ban the export of onshore gas.

consultation occurred with the oil and gas industry prior to the adoption of
this policy?
(2) Which
industry body and oil and gas companies were consulted prior to the adoption of
this change in policy?

Domestic gas developers have been asking for approval to export so there has
been consultation. It is in the interests of Western Australia that the state
government look after the domestic economy. This is an opportunity to bring
industry to Western Australia. This government has always been very clear and
consistent in our message that we support reserving gas for Western Australians
and Western Australian industry.
