I thank the member and fellow
electric vehicle driver for the question. I provide the following answer on
behalf of the Minister for Climate Action.
(1)–(3) The Western Australian EV network extends from
Perth through to Port Hedland along Indian Ocean Drive and North West
Coastal Highway. North of Port Hedland, the Western Australian EV network
extends to the Northern Territory border along Great Northern Highway. On 4 November,
the Minister for Energy announced round 2 of
the Charge Up grant program providing grants for local governments,
not-for-profits and small to medium enterprises to install EV charging
infrastructure. These organisations located along Great Northern Highway
between Perth and Port Hedland are eligible for these grants, which can support
public EV fast-charging installations along this route.
