I refer to the case reported in Katanning where family and domestic violence survivor Kelly North was given 48 hours notice that her alleged perpetrator had applied for bail, and I ask: (a) were Corrective Services consulted prior to the accused being released; (b) did the Department identify any barriers to electronic monitoring; (c) were alternate measures such as daily reporting, curfew, and exclusion zones recommended; and (d) what was the Department's risk rating for the individual?
