HORIZON POWER — STATEMENT OF CORPORATE INTENT
1199. Hon KEN TRAVERS to the
Leader of the House representing the Minister for Energy:
I refer to part 5, ''Provisions about accountability''
of the Electricity Corporations Act 2005.
(1) Has the
Minister for Energy reached an agreement with the board of Horizon Power on its
statement of corporate intent for —
(a) 2013–14;
(b) 2014–15; and
(c) 2015–16?
(2) If yes to (1), why have the SCIs not been tabled in
accordance with section 103?
(3) If no to
(1), has the minister issued any directions to the board under section 101;
and, if not, why not?
(4) Has the
minister had any difficulty in obtaining the concurrence of the Treasurer for
any of these SCIs?
(5) Can the
minister explain why he has failed to meet basic accountability measures in
respect of Horizon Power for the last three years? It is something I am sure
the Leader of the House would never have done.
