I refer to the South West Yarragadee and the Governments proposal to take a further 45 gigalitres out of the aquifer and ask-
(1) The Jarrahwood bore field is not scheduled for completion until 2009, can a license be issued for an incomplete proposal, where all of the impacts are not known?
(2) How will this affect the issuing of licenses in the South West?
(3) When and where was the last water license issued in the South West and what was the allocation?

(2) All licence applications will continue to be assessed in accordance with Clause 7(2) of Schedule 1 of the Rights in Water and Irrigation Act 1914 . (3) As of 23 May 2006, the last licence issued to draw from the Yarragadee aquifer in the South West was on 19 May 2006 in Bunbury and was for 6000 kL/year.
