I refer to the East
Metropolitan Health Service's most recent annual report, which states that
WorkSafe WA issued 13 improvement notices and two prohibition notices.
(1) Can the minister table the 13 matters that the
improvement notices referred to and what has been done to remedy them and, if
not, why not?
(2) Can the minister table the two matters that
the prohibition notices referred to and what has been done to remedy them and,
if not, why not?
(3) How many improvement notices and prohibition
notices have been issued to North and South Metropolitan Health Services
hospitals over 2024 and 2025?
(4) Could the minister please provide a breakdown
of the answer to part (3) by hospital?

I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question. The following answer has
been provided to me by the Minister for Health.
(1)–(2) The WorkSafe notices relate to
matters including use of certain tools and equipment; risk of slips, trips and
falls; and other matters. Remedial actions have been completed for 11 notices,
and remedial actions are on track to be completed for the remaining two notices.
(3) No prohibition notices were issued for the
North Metropolitan Health Service in 2024 or 2025. Two WorkSafe improvement
notices were issued in the 2024–25 financial year. No prohibition
notices were issued for the South Metropolitan Health Service in 2024 or 2025. Five
WorkSafe improvement notices were issued in 2024–25.
(4) The answer to part (4) is in tabular form and
I seek leave to have it incorporated into Hansard .
