WORK HEALTH AND SAFETY BILL — INTRODUCTION
828. Hon ALISON XAMON to the minister representing the
Minister for Industrial Relations:
I refer to the government's
announcement on 12 July 2017 of the development of a modernised work health and
safety act for Western Australia to be based on the national model Work Health
and Safety Bill.
(1) Will the minister please advise
when the bill will be introduced?
(2) If not, why not?

I thank the honourable member for
the question. The following information has been provided to me by the Minister
for Industrial Relations.
(1) Development
of a modernised work health and safety act is a priority of the McGowan
government. When the work health and safety bill is ready to be introduced to
the house, the Minister for Industrial Relations will advise in accordance with
parliamentary procedures.
(2) Not applicable.
