(a) who is responsible for the maintenance work to these homes;
(b) are local contractors able to tender to complete any of the maintenance work;
(c) how much was spent on maintenance work at Mungullah in the following financial years:
(i) 2007–2008; and
(ii) 2008–2009; and
(d) how much has been allocated to spend on maintenance in the 2009–2010 financial year?

The Department of Housing advises:
a) The Department of Housing entered a Housing Management Agreement with the Mungullah Aboriginal Corporation in November 2009 to directly manage all aspects of the residential housing stock including maintenance.
b) Applications to undertake the maintenance work across the state are currently being considered with the results to be available in the near future. In the interim, Gascoyne Asset and Maintenance (GAMS) (owned and operated by Mungullah Aboriginal Corporation) is providing all day to day maintenance. Local contractors for licensed trades are subcontracted by GAMS to complete plumbing and electrical work.
c) The following funding was spent on maintenance work in the below mentioned financial years. This includes routine Repairs and Maintenance and Essential Services funding.
(i) 2007 / 2008 - $30,000 - Repairs and maintenance
(ii) 2008 / 2009 - $15,000 - Repairs and maintenance
d) The following is allocated for spending on maintenance in the 2009-2010 financial year.
$1.218 million for Capital refurbishments
$178,000 Repairs and Maintenance
Additionally, rental income from the Community estimated at $109,000 is to be spent on Repairs and Maintenance.
