The Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) advises:
(a) Yes for burnover blankets; No for radiant heat shields.
(b) Installation of Radiant Heat shields has commended and is ongoing. Higher risk areas are receiving rollout priority. The program is currently scheduled to be completed by December 2015, subject to rollout logistics.
(c) All South West Brigades have received burnover blankets for all of their firefighting appliances.
