(1) I have approved the Masterplan in July 2006 following the receipt of a report that month from DPI detailing subsequent consultations with Local Government representatives, interested local members of parliament and community members over:
1. Implications of the Masterplan on possible changes to local zonings in various areas;
2. Possible longer term changes to the freight rail alignments within the Masterplan area;
3. Effect of the Masterplan on development of further noxious industries within the area, particularly noting the proposed non aviation developments of a brickworks at Perth Airports.
The Masterplan is now approved and is available for public release. I thank the Member for his interest
