I refer to the changes of school bus services proposed to take effect from term one 2007, and I ask -
(1) Will the Minister table a summary of the proposed changes to these services including -
(a) services to be ceased; and
(b) services to be varied?
(2) In the case of services being terminated, what are the reasons for cessation?
(3) What consultation took place with key stakeholders such as affected schools and parents of students currently using these services prior to these decisions being made?
(4) What difficulties does the Government expect will be caused to students and their families as a result of these changes including where applicable -
(a) longer travelling times;
(b) safety issues when transferring at ‘nodes’; and
(c) being forced to change schools?
