I refer to the answer given on 21 May 2025 to my question without notice 199, which revealed that there are 5,959 outstanding arrest warrants, including 3,877 that have been outstanding for more than 5 years, and I ask: (a) of those 5,959 outstanding arrest warrants, how many relate to individuals who are currently believed to be residing: (i) interstate; and (ii) overseas; and (b) how many of the 3,877 arrest warrants outstanding for over 5 years relate to strictly indictable offences?

(a) (i-ii) Of the 5,959 outstanding arrest warrants referred to on 21 May 2025, 3,248 relate to individuals who are believed to be residing interstate, and 259 relate to individuals who are believed to be residing overseas. However, not all of these warrants remain outstanding.
(b) The Western Australia Police Force is unable to provide a response to this part of the Honourable Member’s question. WA Police advised that providing an accurate answer would require an unrealistic amount of resources and time.
