Minister for Transport:
I refer to the minister's
answer to question on notice 354 in relation to steps taken to resolve issues
with the C-series trains, including a high-level meeting with the Public
Transport Authority, Alstom and �Australian Rail, Tram and Bus Industry Union
representatives on 2 July 2025 in which actions and timelines for addressing
driver concerns were "agreed by all stakeholders".

I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question. I provide the following
answer on behalf of the Minister for Transport.
(1)–(2) The Public Transport Authority and
the state government have been working constructively with the Australian Rail,
Tram and Bus Industry Union to incorporate driver feedback on changes that will
improve driver comfort and operability. This has included the trial of a new
driver's seat, software update to the air conditioning system and modifications
to labels and signage.
