PICABAR
838. Mr A. KRSTICEVIC to the Minister for Culture and the Arts:
The correspondence from Picabar
states —
We are not negotiating a new lease,
we have nothing in front of us
Why does the minister keep asserting
that Picabar will continue into the future when the owners clearly state there
are no such negotiations regarding a new lease?

Did the member just hear what I said?
There is an agreement of a licence —
Mr A. Krsticevic : The owners
said this today!
The SPEAKER : Member for
Carine!
Mr D.A. TEMPLEMAN : There is
an agreement of a licence. The licence will allow for the bar to remain open
until such time as a process has been concluded with regard to the long-term
tenancy of that space. That is what has been offered and that is what they are
doing.
Mr A. Krsticevic interjected.
The SPEAKER : Member for
Carine, I call you to order for the first time.
Mr D.A. TEMPLEMAN : The member
is using the term ''lease''. I am using the term ''licence''.
They are different entities.
