I refer to the awarding of the $78,375 contract to Veldhoen and Company to 'assist the BMW Executive to review and analyse the utilisation of the Optima building fit-out to identify possible improvements in workplace productivity and efficiency', and I ask, what specific deficiencies in workplace productivity and efficiency had been identified prior to the tendering of the contract?

The engagement of Veldhoen and Company was not in response to the identification of any deficiencies in workplace productivity or efficiency. The aim is to build on the improvements in accommodation design that have been achieved with the move to the Optima building and will assist the Department of Finance to explore further improvements that may be applied across the public sector.
