I refer to the concept plans for the Mt Herschel development at Rottnest, which indicates a pool deck with bar and restaurant behind it, and associated activities related to its proposed focus on functions and conferences.
Can the Premier advise -
What measures will the Rottnest Island Authority take to ensure that noise from this development does not impact on people staying in villas at Longreach/Geordie Bay and on boats in the bay, who value their peace and quiet?

(1) Existing noise restrictions applicable to all businesses on the Island will apply equally to a new hotel development. This includes an 11.00pm noise curfew.
