(a) Principals of all Government schools, including Independent Public Schools, are able to replace school staff accessing long service leave at no cost to the school.
(b) There is no need for schools to use School Support Program Resource Allocation funds to replace school staff on long service leave as these costs are met centrally.
(c) There is no need for schools to use funds from their bank balances to replace school staff on long service leave as such costs are met centrally.
(d) There is no need for schools to use other sources of funding as such costs are met centrally.
(e) No. The allocation of full-time equivalent staff in schools is not affected by school staff taking long service leave. However, if principals wish to hire additional staff for other purposes they may utilise other funding allocations.
(i) Not applicable.
(ii) The full-time equivalent teacher allocation is generated by student enrolments and schools are entitled to use the full amount allocated. No additional funds are allocated to schools for teachers taking long service leave, as costs are met centrally.
