FREMANTLE PORT - ING DEVELOPMENT
I refer to the ING development at Fremantle port. Given that the previous 2005 ING and Fremantle Ports proposal for the commercial precinct on Victoria Quay was judged by the minister to be unsuitable for the area and was overwhelmingly rejected by the Fremantle community, can the minister explain in detail why she considers that the current proposal is a good use of the quay and would boost Fremantle business, even though the planned office development, car parking facilities and retail centre are completely out of scale and character with the current surrounds? The PRESIDENT : Some parts of that question do not conform to the standing orders. Hon ADELE FARINA
