CRIMINAL INJURIES
COMPENSATION SCHEME — REVIEW
290. Hon NICK GOIRAN to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Attorney General:
I
refer to the Attorney General's direction on 21 September 2017 which
triggered the Department of Justice's review of the criminal
injuries compensation scheme, which, although scheduled for completion by
October 2018, was not completed until 27 November 2019.
(1) Is the
Attorney General aware that the department recommended that the current scheme
be amended in accordance with the recommendations set out in the review report?
(2) On what date was approval given
to develop a business case?
(3) On what date was the development
of the business case completed?
(4) Will the Attorney General table
the business case?
