This is a similar question to the one asked by Hon George Cash, but it has another angle. In view of the recommendations of the Functional Review Taskforce on procurement reform, will the Treasurer confirm that it is the Government’s intention to centralise procurement to the metropolitan area for all government departments; and, if so, will the Treasurer explain how the buy local policy is still applicable and how procurement reforms could be achieved without nullifying the buy local policy?
