During the last election the Government promised to ‘seek the removal of clauses in existing State Agreements that limit the ability of local governments to fully rate projects on State Agreement land’, and I ask -
(1) Have any State Agreements been amended to provide additional rating opportunities for local government?
(2) If so, which Agreements and which local authorities?

(1) No Agreements have been amended to provide additional rating opportunities for local government. The Government is awaiting the outcome of the Study into the effects of State Agreement rating clauses on local government revenue. Two State Agreements have been brought to Parliament since the last election: · Rail and Port (The Pilbara Infrastructure Pty Ltd) Agreement; and · Iron Ore (FMG Chichester Pty Ltd) Agreement. Neither Agreement contains a rating limitation clause. (2) See (1).
