I
thank the honourable member for some notice of the question. On behalf of the
Minister for Environment, I provide the following answer. The first
answer does not quite make sense grammatically, but I will read it out and we
will go from there.
(1) Central Wheatbelt Biosecurity Association licensed
pest management technicians have been issued permits to use 1080 and
strychnine on Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions-managed
lands, which allows them to undertake baiting consistent with the operational
plan.
(2) DBCA does not
contract recognised biosecurity groups to deliver baiting on DBCA-managed
lands; however, it provides approval through the provision of land access
permits under the good neighbour relations policy.
