1360. Hon MARTIN PRITCHARD to
the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Transport:
I refer to reports that the minister's transport
agencies have been asked to find savings from their operating budgets.
(1) Have any
of the minister's agencies been requested or directed to identify
savings from their operating budgets?
(2) If yes to
(1), what is the amount of savings the departments and agencies have been
required to find?
(3) Has the
minister seen or noted any briefing note from his agencies that state that a
reduction in services would be required to meet savings requirements?
(4) If yes to (3), what services would be required to be
reduced?
