(a)-(b) The $209 million Perth Busport is part of the Perth City Link Transport package, which is expected to engage approximately 3 000 workers over the duration of the project. The Perth Busport facility will replace the 1970's-era Wellington Street Bus Station. The new facility will feature dynamic stand allocation, allowing for more efficient use of the space and greater service capacity to cater for future growth. At the initial opening, the facility will cater for in excess of 2 070 bus movements on an average weekday. Bus service growth will be dictated by patronage demand and targeted to routes with the greatest demand.
