ESPERANCE PORT - LEAD POLLUTION
(1) Will the minister table the 2004-05 and 2005-06 statements of corporate intent for the Esperance Port Authority; and, if not, why not? (2) When was the minister first informed of the Esperance port’s intent to facilitate lead exports? (3) Will the minister table the relevant documents informing her of the proposal for lead exports through the port; and, if not, why not? I thank the member for some notice of this question. (1) The 2004-05 and 2005-06 statements of corporate intent for the Esperance Port Authority have already been tabled and are publicly available. (2)-(4) The minister has previously given evidence on these matters to the parliamentary inquiry into the cause and extent of the lead contamination in the Esperance area, which is also publicly available. She does not think it appropriate to make comments outside of this process while the inquiry is still formulating its report.
