Does any department, agency and Government Trading Enterprise under the Minister's control engage any security service licensed under the Security and Related Activities (Control) Act 1996 and if so how much was spent on those services in: (a) 2015; (b) 2016; and (c) 2017?

(a)-(c)  The response cannot be given in calendar years. It can only be provided in financial years:
2014-15           $6 375 726
2015-16           $6 036 849
2016-17           $6 428 908
2017-18           $2 685 879 (1 July to 31 December 2017).
The above costs include security guards, alarm installation, CCTV installation, alarms over internet protocol and intruder alarm system maintenance.
Some of these costs may be associated with work undertaken by contractors who are not required to be licenced under the Security and Related Activities (Control) Act 1996 . It is difficult to separate the cost of this work from the other costs.
