(1) Will the Treasurer confirm that in the Economic and Fiscal Outlook 2003-2004 the Functional Review Task Force has identified capital asset sales to be sold that include reserve Water Corporation land in Karrinyup (off Padstow Street)?
(2) In regard to comments by the Treasurer in an article in
The West Australian
on 9 May 2003 on page 8 under the heading ‘Razor gang’s axe to raise $100 million’ that stated the land described in (1) would be sold, will the Treasurer confirm which fiscal period such a return on land sales is included in the schedule ‘Summary of Functional Review Recommendations Review Recommendations That Are Reflected in the 2003-2004 Budget and Forward Estimates – 2003-04; 2004-05; 2005-06; or 2006-2007’?
(3) On what basis did the Functional Review Task Force assess that the reserve Water Corporation land in Karrinyup should be sold?
(4) Has the Treasurer or the Functional Review Task Force received either a formal or informal assessment from the Water Corporation regarding the needs of the Corporation in relation to the site in question?
(5) If such an assessment has been made, will this be released to the public?
(6) Will the Treasurer confirm that the Department of Planning and Infrastructure or any other relevant Department has already prepared a proposed street layout for any future sub-division?
(7) Will the Treasurer advise when he expects that a residential sub-division will be prepared and made available for community comment?
(8) Will such a sub-division include a percentage set aside for community housing?
(9) What will that percentage be and will the community housing stock be utilised for families, couples, singles and seniors?
(10) I refer to comments attributed to the Treasurer that value the land at $10 million and ask is this based upon the current status of the land?
(11) If the land is sub-divided for residential purposes, what will the valuation be?
(12) Will the Treasurer release the balance of asset sales identified in
The West Australian
as prepared by the Functional Review Task Force?
(13) When does the Treasurer expect to release these details?
