ALTERNATIVE LEARNING
CENTRES — EVALUATION
164. Hon DONNA FARAGHER to the Minister for Education and
Training:
I refer to ''Final Report:
Evaluation of the Alternative Learning Setting Pilot'' tabled yesterday
that states that the tight developmental time frames impacted the pilot,
including —
 specific challenges with locating
and leasing suitable Pilot sites, recruiting and building the capacity of
staff, communicating the intent of the Pilot to key stakeholders and developing
the policies and procedures to guide the Pilot.
(1) Does the minister accept the
report's findings?
(2) Have alternative more suitable
pilot site locations been identified; and, if not, why not?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the member for the question.
(1) Yes.
(2) One of the
alternative learning settings has been moved. I take the same position I took
last time; I am happy to say the general area, but I would not want to give the
address. I will have a conversation with the honourable member behind the
Chair, if that is acceptable to her.
