(a) The Off-road vehicles project is not a reference to a specific project, but rather is a reference to the restricted nature of the funds held in the Off-road vehicles (ORV) account, which is a special purpose account established under section 43 of the Control of Vehicles (Off-road areas) Act 1978 and section 16 of the Financial Management Act 2006. These funds are only to be used for expenses in relation to the administration of the Act, as approved by the Minister and, where relevant, the Treasurer.
(b) As described in (a), this is not a specific project; however, the stated priority areas for funds from the ORV account are: information on the location of ORV areas; information to assist local governments with the administration of the Act; increasing registration numbers/compliance; suitability of potential ORV areas; increased rider safety; and management of existing permitted areas.
(c) Not applicable
(d) Funds are generated from ORV registration fees.
(d)(i) Not applicable
(e)(i)
2014-15 - $ 29,586
2015-16 - $ 54,430
2016-17 - $ 62,655
2017-18 - $ 56,897
(f) No funds have been spent from the ORV account in 2014-15, 2015-16, 2016-17 or 2017-18.
