(3) The 43 recommendations are consistent with the National Organ Donation and Transplantation Authority reform agenda. The Department of Health is working with the Commonwealth Government and other jurisdictions to achieve a nationally consistent approach to improve donation and transplantation rates.
(4) This matter is being considered along with other recommendations for the development of a nationally consistent approach to organ donation.
(5) No. The Department of Health's assessment of the available evidence does not support the view that an opt?out approach will increase donation rates.
