COURSES OF STUDY - YEARS 11 AND 12
I have been informed that the minister has been unavailable for the past two weeks but that two honourable members have asked questions of the minister and have received responses. I presume that I will receive an answer to this question. I refer the minister to the courses for years 11 and 12. (1) Will the courses that have been delayed until 2009 on the recommendation of teacher juries be redirected back to the juries for approval prior to their implementation; and, if not, why not? (2) Given the changes being made to the courses announced by the minister in January 2007, what roles will levels perform in the assessment of the courses? (3) Given that most schools are currently conducting their first semester year 11 and 12 examinations, have the unit descriptors for the year 11 courses been completed; and, if not, why not? (4) When will they be available to schools? Hon LJILJANNA RAVLICH
