Section 18 notice lodged by MAC Services Group Pty Ltd in respect of Lot 520 Madigan Road, Gap Ridge, Karratha, I ask -
(1) Has MAC Services Group Pty Ltd consulted with all traditional people who represent and have a cultural interest in the area of Lot 520?
(2) If no to (1), why not?
(3) If yes to (1), who was consulted?
(4) If no to (1), will the Aboriginal Cultural Material Committee still deal with the matter at their proposed meeting of 9 May 2012?
(5) If yes to (4), why?

1. No.
2. MAC Services Group Pty Ltd consulted with the Ngarluma Aboriginal Corporation on behalf of the Ngarluma Native Title holders. Other traditional people known to have a cultural interest in Lot 520 Madigan Road have previously undertaken Aboriginal heritage surveys of the area and reported that the area does not contain Aboriginal heritage sites of cultural significance and importance.

5. There is sufficient information in the Notice to enable the Aboriginal Cultural Material Committee to carry out their functions under the
Aboriginal Heritage Act 1972
