The Department of Justice advises:
(1) Male and female prisoners are not imprisoned together and do not come in to unsupervised contact. Therefore, items for the purpose of contraception are not provided to prisoners.
Contraceptive Implants and IUDs may be prescribed to prisoners transitioning back into the community.
(2) In 2017, the cost for the above contraceptive options was $3085.82.
