refer to the media release of Thursday, 10 May 2018 in relation to
the state budget titled ‘Growing regional WA: boost for jobs and services in
the Mid-West’, and I ask:
(a) How
much of the $3.4 billion infrastructure investment across regional WA was allocated
to:
(i) the Mid West; and
(ii) Geraldton;
(b) How
much of the $3.4 billion infrastructure investment across regional WA has been
spent as of May 2020 in:
(i) the Mid West; and
(ii) Geraldton;
(c) Please list the projects in relation to 2(a) and 2(b) and provide a table showing:
(i) a brief description of each project;
(ii) how much funding was allocated to each project; and
(iii) how much has been spent on each project as of May 2020;
(d) How much of the $80 million investment to enhance rural bushfire capacity across the State has been allocated to:
(i) the Mid West; and
(ii) Geraldton;
(e) How much of the $22.5 million for the Regional Economic Grants Scheme to
drive economic development in regional Western Australia was allocated
to:
(i) the Mid West; and
(ii) the South West;
(f) Please
list all the road upgrades related to the Square Kilometre Array project;
(g) In
relation to the $10 million to better the Abrolhos Islands and create tourism
and job opportunities please outline:
(i) how the funding will be spent, including
forecasted cost estimates for each project;
(ii) what funding has been spent as of May 2020; and
(iii) details of the projects undertaken to date as
part of the initiative;
(h) In
relation to the $39.7 million to boost tourism funding to showcase regional
destinations please outline:
(i) how much of the funding was allocated to the Mid
West;
(ii) how much of the funding was allocated to
Geraldton;
(iii) how much funding has been spent in the Mid West
as of May 2020;
(iv) how much funding has been spent in Geraldton as
of May 2020; and
(v) a description of the projects aimed to boost tourism
in:
(A) the Mid West; and
(B) Geraldton;
(i) Please list the 10 regional schools where
independent Learning Co-ordinators have been placed to assist students
undertaking courses through the School of Isolated and Distance Education;
(j) Please
list the businesses that have received funding as part of the $4.5 million New
Industries Fund; and
(k) Can
the Premier provide a breakdown of where and how the $6.8 million for the renal
dialysis program has been spent?
