LOCAL GOVERNMENT — AMALGAMATIONS —
NATIONAL PARTY POLICY
292. Mr D.A. TEMPLEMAN to the Deputy Leader of the
National Party:
I have a
supplementary question. Will the minister and his party colleagues put their
money where their mouths are and vote against any legislation forcing
amalgamations?
Point of Order
Mr J.M. FRANCIS : Mr Speaker, I
refer you to standing order 75(2), which states that questions may be asked of
the leader of a party in government regarding that party's policies.
The last time I checked, the Leader of the National Party was not in this
house, and I would ask you to rule that question and the supplementary question
out of order.
Mr
D.A. TEMPLEMAN : Further to the point of order, Mr Speaker —
The SPEAKER : There is no point
of order. Carry on.

time.
Mrs
L.M. HARVEY : I seek leave to give a late notice of motion.
