(2) Further to the answer to Question on Notice No. 2334, why was the number of FTEs at the Busselton Hospital down by 6 in the 2002/3 financial year compared with the previous year?

Total Administration and Clerical Nursing June 2004 130 14 65 Data is sourced from the Department of Health Human Resource Data Warehouse. 2. The FTE measure used to report the staffing totals at Busselton hospital is the standard departmental FTE measure of financial cost. It does not directly measure employees engaged as it includes payment for overtime and leave. For example an employee being paid in advance for a period leave can generate an FTE value greater than 1.00 for that employee in the pay month in which the employee is paid. 3. See 2 above.
